Booking Conditions
‘The owner’ means the owner of Trerice Holiday Barns (‘the property’)
‘The client’ means the person(s) making the booking and the members of his/her party
Bookings will only be accepted on receipt by the Owner of a completed booking form and deposit of 1/3 of the cost of accommodation; bookings made within 8 weeks of the occupation period must be paid in full at the time of the booking.
Subject to the above the balance is payable 8 weeks before the occupation start date. If the balance is not received by such date the Owner will be entitled to cancel the booking without further notice to the client and without incurring any liability to the client whatsoever. In such circumstances the client shall be deemed to have cancelled and the following provisions will apply:
In the event that the client cancels the booking prior to the final balance being paid (i.e. more than 8 weeks before their stay), the deposit is non-refundable unless in the event that the owner is able to re-let the property. In the event that the client cancels the holiday less than 8 weeks before their stay, the total payable in respect of the booking will remain due to the owner. In the event that the owner is able to re-let the property for the same period (or longer) the owner will make the appropriate refund (on a pro rata basis) to the client minus an administration fee of £25.
All bookings are accepted in good faith. In the unlikely event that the owner has to cancel the booking due to factors beyond her control the owner’s liability shall be limited to the immediate return in full of all monies paid by the client in respect of the booking. The owner recommends the client to take out appropriate holiday cancellation insurance *.
The client is liable for the total cost of any damage loss or injury to the property or its inventory.
The property will be available to the client and other members of the party and shall be used solely for the purpose of holiday accommodation within the meaning of Section 9 of the Rent Act 1977 (as amended). The total number of occupants shall not exceed the number stated on the booking form. Bookings commence at 3pm and conclude at 9am for the period shown on the booking form.
The client undertakes for him/herself and on behalf of all other members of the party to keep the property, furniture, fittings and effects in or at the property in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the occupation period and to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition on leaving the property.
In the event that any items are lost or damaged during the clients occupancy the client will be responsible for the cost of replacing the same or making good such damage before the end of the occupancy
The owner reserves the right to enter the property at reasonable times with or without workmen for the purpose of inspecting, cleaning repairing or maintaining the property or any equipment within the property
The client shall not cause or allow any nuisance or annoyance to the owner or an occupier of any other barn
It is strictly prohibited to charge electric vehicles through windows or doors using an extension lead.
We have a strict no smoking policy inside any of the barns. If you smoke outside please dispose of your cigarette butts in the metal ash bin provided. No candles or other naked flames should be used inside of the barns.
None of the contents in the property, particularly towels provided by the owner, shall be removed from the property.
The contract between the owner and client shall be governed by English law and be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
